FINALLY
I am on search for the best crochet pattern for a Katniss (Hunger Games,Catching Fire) inspired cowl/shawl.
I think I found a great start for the cowl at least. If all works OK then I will ask this talented young lady if I can link it here. Her pattern is FREE. I will always give kudos for hookers that share!!
I've clicked on quite a few links that are now gone. Hmmm since when is it such a crime for a few hookers to make a few stinkin bucks? Unreal! I don't see us making millions of dollars, I mean who the heck could crochet that much?????
Something about infringement or something.
Hmm I haven't seen these same sites take down their patterns for Monsters, Inc, Disney, Minions, etc inspired items.
They would only be making enough money to maybe purchase more yarn. Whooppeee doooo
BUT Nooooooo ... the American way is to have starving women and children in foreign countries crochet/knit items to sell at pricey department stores. This saddens me.
Us hookers are better off designing items and selling patterns. But most of us hookers would rather share with other hookers. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying for certain patterns. And I tend to buy from a designer that includes all sizes...hint hint gals and guys. Maybe a hooker has a few kids, all in different sizes, it happens :-p
There is one designer that includes different sizes and she usually has an actual size chart included in every pattern. I do tend to buy mostly from her. She deserves my business!
And then there are the designers that post that a hooker cannot sell the finished item. You are telling moi that I cannot sell the hat at the church bazaar? Watch me!!!
Why do they post that????
There are no laws against that, no matter how many times you post it on your patterns...
Anyhooooo
I take most patterns and tweak to what I want. It's mostly for the concept/idea for certain things. Like maybe soles for baby sandals. Or how to get something a certain shape.

Can't wait to get the all supplies to get started. I have the yarns and HOOKS. I have tons of hooks ;-)

Many of us hookers do this tweaking thing!!
When we tweak we don't shoot or sniff illegal substances!!!!!!!!! We do however love the smell of yarn and can be seen sniffing yarn in the aisles of our Michaels or Hobby Lobby ....
And please don't confuse tweaking with twerking....EVER
Many hookers will write a pattern based on someone elses' idea/concept/thought.....

Wonder if most know just how much a legal copyright costs???
So anyways I am on this mission and pulling what I like from several sites/blogs as I go along. I will use Hometown USA for the black one. It's a nice chunky yarn that is extremely soft.
The gray one, is anyone's guess, it's one of my favorite "brands". Mill Ends....Oh how I love them!!
The cowl from the movie doesn't look "soft" but hey she's a damn Huntress!!!
And now I am a Huntress also, I am hunting for a great Huntress Cowl pattern :-)
Maybe when I am finished with the 2 cowls I am going to make, I will make myself one, for hooking on those chilly NEPA nights........
